Create the most personalised handmade gift you will ever give and leave a legacy the recipient will cherish forever.  The workshop starts by mapping out the key areas of your design, where to add any illustrations, then determining the weight of each lettering section. You might choose to use block lettering, Neuland, Gothic or a combination of typographic styles.  They key is to arrive with an A4 photocopy of your chosen person, along with beautiful quotes sourced from family and friends.  That preparation is, in itself, an incredibly insightful experience and essential for the success of your completed design.

Create a stunning or silver gold wreath using Winsor & Newton gouache on quality Canson paper. First you will learn brush lettering with creamy gouache, then proceed to positioning your word inside a wreath of your own making. You will also work with silver gouache on blue Canson card to achieve a lavish look in a different hue.

Start with the basics learning the traditional art of Uncial lettering. Using the easy technique of double pencils, you'll master the angle and pressure needed to achieve beautiful lettering which you can colour, scan or outline.  This is a great class for beginners, both left-handers and right-handers.
